About Us
ASTD Nebraska chapter received its charter from ASTD National on January 21, 1959 and had 26 members from over 20 companies in the Omaha metro area. Today, our chapter has 350 members representing over 100 companies.
We have an Executive Board consisting of 10 members and many more directors and committee members to help make ASTD Nebraska the preferred leader in workplace learning and performance. The chapter works to bring workshops, tools, resources and the network needed to enhance members' abilities to train, develop and support clients, organizations, and our local and global communities.
ASTD National is a leading association of workplace learning and performance professionals, forming a world-class community of practice. ASTD's 35,000 members and associates come from more than 100 countries and thousands of organizations -- multinational corporations, medium-sized and small businesses, government, academia, consulting firms, and product and service suppliers.
Both ASTD Nebraska and ASTD National are resources for your personal and professional growth. Through these organizations, you can find a gate to almost any resource you may need -- workshops, books and materials, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), magazines and articles about our industry, career resources, membership directories, newsletters and this website.
