Special interest groups are the lifeblood of many ASTD chapters. SIGs provide unique opportunities for networking with members who share interest or expertise in a specific area. How Do They Work? Let's say that you are a trainer who conducts diversity training and you would like to meet and share experiences with other trainers who conduct diversity courses. A Diversity SIG can help you do that. Within that SIG, people who are involved with workforce diversity can get together, share ideas, relay experiences, exchange resources, and gain insight into an aspect of their careers with greater potential for obtaining knowledge.
