The
ASTD Nebraska Mentoring Program
is a structured, yet informal, voluntary program. Members seeking the opportunity to partner with a senior or junior member are supported and guided through the mentor relationship by qualified program coordinators.

Continue your professional growth by enriching your knowledge, skills, and competencies
Dialogue and seek advice from an expert with an unbiased perspective
Further develop your confidence, self-awareness, and authenticity
Increase your social capital and communication skills
Challenges yourself to take risks and achieve with an expert to guide you
Transfer the knowledge you gain into reaching your professional and career goals and objections
Benefits to Mentors:
Gain a fresh perspective from the experiences of your mentee
Give back by sharing your expertise with others, thereby strengthening your own knowledge base
Increase your social capital and communication skills
Enhance your own leadership, teaching, and coaching skills
Help an emerging professional to reach his/her full potential
Demonstrate your commitment to professional development
The program consists of a six-month relationship where both mentor and mentee explore personal and professional development through the programs comprehensive Mentoring Guide.
